Ask questions about some of my characters/NPC's. You can specify whether or not you want the question answered OOC by me, as the DM/creator {FireChild of TRB}, or IC, as if the characters themselves were posed the questions. Or perhaps even both, for shits and giggles. Be careful of what you ask, you may end up with more spoilers than you wanted if you're playing with any of these characters.

SUMMARIES
Akhom, S_n of the Aten
Akhom has followed one man from Memphis clear across the ocean of fire and into Assyria, to make his apologies. But to apologize for what? How has he wronged this man who is one hair's breadth away from evil? And how is it they've come to find themselves trapped together, victims of a shadowy ambush in the streets of Nineveh, emprisoned in a 'dungeon' as weird as they?
Akiro - Aku - Aku of the Mountain
A mystery amongst mysteries, Aku of the Mountain, as he is known now, has lived through several Namirem lifetimes. No one knows why, but many speculate that his unnatural longevity stems from some ancient connection between him and the deathgod Shinigami. He now lives in isolation, strong in his mountain, pursuing the life of a blacksmith though his true talents - as a master of the antiquarian Namir martial art, Kikentaido, and as a powerful sorceror - go unnoticed by the people below.
The Balrog Brothers
Their names are nothing more than an amalgam of the startled exclamations by the senile wizard who "gave birth" to them and then, shortly after, perished (of heart complications). The twins were 'adopted' as it were by the remaining Balrogs and brought back to their home - The Shounetsu Jigoku, or Hell of Fire, domain of the deathgod Shinigami - fitting for spectres of shadow and flame. Do to their small stature {a miniscule 14ft tall} the juveniles were stationed in Shinigami's stronghold (they are the only ones that'll fit) as her personal guard. Recently they've been reassigned to guarding Shinigami's charge, their friend, Tygre.
Burnar
Mentioned but not seen. He is High Priest Yutang's strong-man, and does his dirty work - along with his cutthroat hires, his paid mercenaries. Even he is capable of plotting.
Ibram of Halaal
A mysterious man who disappears suddenly after the riot at, and subsequent explosion/burning of, The Boar's Head in Nineveh.
Ikusura, Progenitor
The 'First Namir'. Her name, which roughly translates to "Necessary Fear & Reverence" amongst other things, was given to her after death by overbearing Namirem rulers. She is a descendant (one of many) of an elemental elder god, the living embodiement of deep waters, whose depths still contain so many mysteries. Unable to ascend to her father's paradise and unwilling to settle down in another afterlife, Ikusura instead chooses to haunt her direct descendents - meddling quite gleefully in their affairs. In this respect, she is considered a demigod by the Namir, however 'death' is also in her name... and even she cannot predict her own future, if she has one.
Kukichuyo, son of Kazuo
Kukichuyo is a mortal, human devotee of the deathgod, Shinigami, who used his powers and training to open for himself a portal unto Hell (The Shounetsu, to be precise) so that he could serve his god at her feet. It was an impetuous move that very nearly cost him his life - a ghastly end at the tearing, rending hands of Hells denizens - or would have had he not been saved by none other than Shinigami herself. So it would seem that the monk got his wish... In a manner of speaking.
Ogun, Father of Fire
Ogun is the elder elemental god of fire; younger brother, in fact, of Ikusura's father - her uncle. He himself embodies the geothermal heat that is essentially life for the world. Were his fire to extinguish, so would the flame of life. Little fear of that since, as Shinigami herself has said, this is a man who has raized continents to smouldering ashes. Like the planet, Ogun has mellowed with time - though it has taken eons of it. Very little is known about Ogun, even by other gods, outside of his private battle with his brother and, later, with his niece. The jucyiest gossip surrounding the primordial man is his recent transmutation of Shinigami, and the drama that was part of it.
Rashid Mansouri
Shop keeper in the Bazaar of Nineveh with a heavy heart and sombre countenance. What is the significance if his figurines, that of a woman and child, that seems to cause him so much anguish? Why do the drums in the night unnerve him so?
Shinigami - Shyahaima
Most gods are born into divinity. Others earn the divine spark, through epic deeds, or by extinguishing that spark in others. Shinigami was molded into godhood. As such, she is a wildcard; an unpredictable variable in that not even the gods closest to her - the ones responsible for her position and power - know for certain her deepest motives. It is for this unpredictability, her power, her poise, that she is feared, reverred, and scorned... even by other occupants of the pantheon.
Skelos, the Seer
A bearded, bleach-boned skeleton with 'coke-bottle' glasses, Skelos resides in Hell as if he were on vacation. His undeniable sense of ease amongst the worst atrocities of Hell has made him notorious. He was an oracle in life and, even in death, he is known to reveal a prophecy now and again.
High Priest Yutang
Mentioned, but not yet seen. He is the black-handed servant of Seth and is the real power in Nineveh. His fate, he thinks, is assured. But little does he know that even he does not hold a monopoly on evil in Nineveh... And things he thought taken care of still fester. There is unfinished business...
Zabibi
An elderly shop matron with a kindly, wrinkled face, Zabibi offers a caring shoulder and encouraging words of advice in a city reknowned for its malice and vice. Like the trinkets she sells, she is more than what she seems...
Zaia
Orphaned and mutilated, the young slave Zaia has dreams of freedom from pain, freedom from fear and hunger. Is there a reason that few, even among the guards and taskmasters of his personal hell, know of the boy? Is he a secret? And why was his life spared, but then his body mutilated, when others' were not?
